San Lak Maeng Chumphon
The city pilar shrine of Chumporn was built into the Prasat style with the so-called Chaturamuk roof,a roof with pendiments on four sides, atopped with the shapeed prang. The city pillar inside was carved our of wood into a traditional Thai golden designed. According to the Fine Art Department, it should be made from the auspicious
Ratchaphruek of or pink cassia wood of Wat Tham Rap Ro which is located in the area believed to have been the location of Uthumphon town, the old town of Chumphon. Wood which the required description of found and cut on 9 January, 1992. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirinthorn presired over the opening ceremony of this city pilla shrine on 31 January, 1992
